3 Oaks Studio workshops and get togethers are a great way to learn all about the wonderful ways you can transform your home, while having fun at the same time.

Vicki has been painting professionally for clients for over 20 years, has been trained by the best, to include Annie Sloan personally and loves to share her passion for reloving old pieces.  You will leave inspired and with knowledge to transform your homes to reflect your own personal style!

Our workshops are hands on, user friendly, full of ideas, and non intimidating.  We have workshops for the beginning painter to the more advanced painter, using CHALK PAINT® decorative paint and other embellishments to go along with this easy to use, ZERO VOC water based paint.

Descriptions:

Chalk Paint® - Great Techniques!  This is a technique based workshop where you learn specific techniques using Chalk Paint® Decorative Paint and Annie Sloan Soft Wax.  Typical techniques include Two Colored Distress, Rustic, Dry Brushing, Smooth Modern, along with a bit of gilding wax and colored wax.  No personal project items will be worked on during this technique class.  Students will learn on sample boards provided.  

Chalk Paint® - Getting Started - $100 (includes two sample jars - your color choices, to take home!) - learn the popular two color distress finish(two ways of distressing) and all about waxing, to ensure your projects have a long lasting finish that will be beautiful for years. Then work on your small project piece you have brought from home to be finished in your choice of color or colors and waxes.  This is for those who have never painted as well as those who are just new to Chalk Paint® Decorative Paint.  Learn in a fun, relaxing atmosphere and go home with knowledge and confidence to tackle larger projects immediately! Paint and supplies provided as well as light lunch. (Please note, that your project piece should be small enough to complete within alloted time.  Not sure?  Text a picture to Vicki and she can tell you if this is a good fit for the class)

Chalk Paint® - Quick Start - Don't have the time for a full class?  Come to Quick Start and get some quick tips and hints to get started the right way.  Students will learn on a sample board provided how to easily apply the paint, distress and wax to give a beautiful professional finish.  This is a quick start class, and will get you painting in no time! $50 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on drying time.  

Paint Therapy  $60 - Starting this spring, a new fun smaller workshop for those of you who just want a little time away for "me" time.   Bring your beverage of choice and everything else is provided.  We will work on a small project piece that you can take home with you and display!  All material is provided and we will go over painting, stenciling, waxing and using gilding wax, possibly more as projects ....so much fun!  The project pieces will change regularly to keep this fresh!  2 hours

Chalk Paint® - Beyond Basics - $60 - this is for the person who wants to learn additional techniques using Chalk Paint®...learn how to crackle the paint, use it with metal leaf, and enhance your looks with coloring wax.   Allow 2  to 2 1/2 hours  

Embellish I: $75 Using Artisan Enhancements products, learn how to take your Chalk Paint® projects to the next level.  You will be using Artisan Enhancements Easy Crackle, Crackle Tex and Pearl Plaster along with gilding waxes in gold, silver, copper..... gone are the days where you paid $$ to get these looks...now made easy for you to achieve!  

Embellishment II:  $75 - in this workshop, you will be using Wood Icing Texture Paste with stencils as well as Wood Icing Crackle to achieve luxurious looks with Chalk Paint®.  

Cushy Tushy -  $75 Cushion Slipcover workshop. Part 1 of a three part slipcover workshop series.  Take this one or sign up for all three!  $75 each or $140 for all three! Brand New!  Bring your portable sewing machine, cushion and material and learn how to make an easy box seat cushion with single welt or fringe trim.    This can be applied to a pillow as well.  If you want to do pillows, pillow forms are available for purchase prior to class.  Bring your own seat cushion and material, either already covered or not.    More info to include class supplies needed will be given  prior to first class, to ensure you have proper amount of fabric, thread, etc.

New!  Design Your Own Workshop!  $50  Grab a friend and let's set a date that works for you!    You pick out two finishes you are interested in learning - Rustic, Impasto, Crackle, Wood Icing, Rustic Scraped, Smooth Modern are the most common choices for this simple workshop.    This is a great workshop for those who have previously taken Chalk Paint® Getting Started and want to bump up their knowledge and techniques!  Please allow up to 2 1/2 hours.  


All workshops are size limited to ensure everyone has plenty of space and attention during the workshop time.  Seats are secured by payment for the workshop at time of sign up.  Sign up either in person at the shop or by phone with a credit card.
Cancellations made more than a week in advance can be applied toward another workshop date.  This is because we do so much to prep and prepare for you!
